2016 – 2019”ROTARY supports local initiatives for Satu Mare” – editions I, II and III
Date / Period: 1st of March 2018 – 30th of April 2019
Main objective: Promoting mutual cooperation and understanding among members of the Satu Mare community, supporting the educational process, reducing poverty and improving living conditions for disadvantaged groups, preserving and promoting local values, harmonious development of children and young people, protecting the environment – all by involving as many citizens as possible
Starting with 2016, Rotary Satu Mare implements the annual funding program “ROTARY supports local initiatives for Satu Mare” (RSILSM) exclusively for non-governmental organizations with headquarters and activity in Satu Mare County. The program encourages partnerships, at the same time appreciating creativity and innovation in addressing issues.
The total budget of the program for the three years is 66,000 RON. Out of a total of 21 submitted projects, 11 were selected and financed, with a total value of 100,121.50 RON, of which Rotary Satu Mare’s funding was 61,652.50 RON.
The Program management is carried out by the AGES Association (www.ages.ro).

- ”Integration through arts and music”, implemented by Caritas Association of Satu Mare Diocese
- ”LEARN4YOU/BUSINESS FOR FUTURE”, implemented by ” Parents Association from “Mihai Eminescu” National College Satu Mare”
- ”Tour de Tur – the celebration of sport in nature “, implemented by the Transylvanian Carpathian Association, the branch of Satu Mare.
- ”Old but Gold – active aging of the elderly in Satu Mare and Maramureş County”, implemented by Caritas Association of Satu Mare Diocese
- ”Darwin day – A Day for Knowledge and Thought “, implemented by Satu Mare E-Consult Association
- ”Opreşte intimidarea / Delete Bullying”, implemented by ”Parents Association from “Mihai Eminescu” National College Satu Mare”
- ”Satu Mare Youth on the Move!”, implemented by “Societatea Carpatină Ardeleană” Association, Satu Mare Branch.
- ”Theme Park Turulung”, implemented by Caritas Association of Satu Mare Diocese
- ”The music and the easel on the palette of our lives “, implemented by DOWN Foundation of Carei
- ”EVRICA – Education for Life – Responsible, In-Dependent, Conscious, Attentive”, implemented by ”Parents Association from “Mihai Eminescu” National College Satu Mare”
- ” Educational Camp for Children”, implemented by CSIK Cultural Association, Urziceni.
The total number of beneficiaries of the projects financed is about 3.000 persons and 24 organizations, as well as institutions from Satu Mare County.
