„WELCOME!” message from the president
My nomination for the position of President of the Satu Mare Rotary Club for the Rotarian year 2023 – 2024 is a great honor for me, but at the same time a special responsibility and challenge, considering the achievements during the past presidents’ mandates.
My main goal this year, however, is not one related to big, spectacular projects, but to bring back among the members the enthusiasm we had in the first years after the charting of our club, 20 years ago.
I firmly believe that the success of any organization, therefore implicitly also of a Rotary club, depends to a great extent on the interaction, friendship, mutual support of the members, as well as on the partnerships developed with colleagues from other clubs, organizations. Without these, everything becomes just a routine, a “must do”, an activity lacking enthusiasm.
As a result, the main objectives that I propose this year are related to attracting new members – with initiative, increasing the degree of involvement of current members in the club’s activities, respectively the development of partnerships and joint actions with other clubs in the country and abroad.
“Create hope in the world” is the motto of this Rotarian year, and I want to be able to contribute to bringing this “hope” to our smaller community as well.
